Brand New Year, Brand New Work
Hello everyone, and welcome to the New Year 2026! This year has already brought exciting changes and fresh opportunities into my life. I recently took on a side job teaching classes with Paint the Town, which has opened new doors for me both creatively and professionally. Alongside this, my home is undergoing a major transformation, especially the basement, where I am building my new office and workspace. I want to share this journey with you—my friends and fellow clients—because it’s shaping the way I create and connect with my art.
Learning How to Teach Others to Paint
Taking on teaching roles has been a rewarding experience. Paint the Town offers a platform where I can share my passion for art with others, and it’s been a great way to expand my portfolio. Each class brings new challenges and fresh inspiration, pushing me to refine my techniques and explore different styles.
This also helps me connect with people who appreciate art but might not have had the chance to try it themselves. Seeing their excitement and progress reminds me why I love what I do. It’s not just about creating art but about building a community around it.
Best parts I've learned, guiding beginners through their initial brush strokes, experimenting with mixed media projects, and hosting themed sessions that spark creativity and fun. This side job has energized my artistic process and given me new ideas to bring into my own work. Look forward to seeing more of my own Personal Acrylic Paintings because of this opportunity!
Transforming My Home Office and Workspace
One of the biggest projects this year is refurbishing my basement into a dedicated office and art studio. This space will be the heart of my creative business, where I can work on personal projects and client commissions without distractions.
The renovation is progressing well, with exciting developments focused on creating ample storage for art supplies and finished pieces, designing a comfortable, well-lit workspace, and setting up areas for painting, crafting, and digital work.
I hope to have everything ready by the end of March, just in time for my birthday on March 25th. I plan to take a well-deserved break on that day, so no worries about overworking me! Having a dedicated space will help me stay organized and inspired. It’s a big step toward growing my art business and improving the quality of my work.

New Skills and Expanding My Shop
Recently, I got a Cricut machine, notably it's a Cricut Maker 4, and I’m excited to learn how to use it to create new products featuring my art. This tool offers numerous opportunities for creating unique items to sell, including custom T-shirts with original designs, jewelry inspired by my paintings, and keychains and small accessories featuring my artwork.
While my shop is still a work in progress, it remains a priority. I’m eager to hear feedback from clients and friends about what kinds of products they would like to see. Your input will help me focus on items that truly resonate with you.
For now, I’m focusing on mastering the Cricut and experimenting with different materials and techniques. This learning curve is exciting and keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward.
Preparing for Future Conventions and Art Shows
Looking ahead, I am preparing for upcoming conventions where I can showcase my work and connect with fellow artists and clients. These events are important for growing my network and sharing my art with a wider audience. I will be continuing to work on new paintings and personal art projects, developing product samples for my shop, and organizing my portfolio and promotional materials. Balancing teaching, refurbishing, and creating can be challenging, but it’s rewarding to see everything come together.
With so much going on, I remind myself to take breaks and celebrate milestones. My birthday in March will be a perfect moment to pause and recharge before diving back into work. Taking care of my well-being helps me stay creative and productive. You can't rush art after all!
It seems this year is shaping up to be one of growth. With teaching others how to pain, refurbishing my workspace, and exploring new creative tools are all part of improving myself and my work. I’m grateful for the opportunities and excited to share this journey with you. Will get back to you all when Convention season starts for me, thank you so much for your support everyone! ^^
Sincerely,
